Why #5 for Yogurt?
More & more people are eating yogurt today & that means that much more plastic is going into landfills & much of that is ending up in our oceans where sealife will ingest it & be killed by it. It will add to the swirling plastic gyres in the oceans whose total size is about the size of the continental U.S. Yogurt containers are almost all made of #5 plastic which is not recyclable in most commmunities. We the undersigned are asking General Mills & others to please try to find a way to use recyclable #1 or #2 plastic in their containers. Thank you in advance for helping the earth.
