PETITION TO ALLOW HOME SCHOOLED STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN PORT JERVIS,NY DISTRICT AFTER SCHOOL CLUB

We have been trying to get the Port Jervis school district to change their policy.  New York State allows ,with the BOE 'S approval ,all homes schooled students the right to participate in clubs.  Since April of 2008 Many pros and cons were debated. The children come from taxpaying homes.  They would follow the same rules  for behavior.  The insurance to add them is minimal.   Most of the clubs have low attendance.   The meeting will be August 21, 2008 at 7:30 .  The location is set at the town building in Huguenot.  Due to repairing the school.  I  will be there and need your support.  I am a 16 year old home schooled student.  After carefully exploring the N.Y.S. law, I realized  this would be beneficial for me to participate in clubs such as: Scholastic bowl, Mock trial, Chess club.  Would you please support me by signing this petition.
