Keep STaR at Center Grove High School the same.

As a student at Center Grove, I have come to find my self struggling with school like the typical student does. Our STaR is a home room in the middle of the day that allows us to interact with teachers and students, so the struggle of high school can be helped by the relationships we form in STaR. Personally I have created strong bonds with the teacher and students in my STaR class. Next year the school is trying to find a way to make STaR more about academics and not relationships by splitting up students into different classrooms by what subject they need help in. It sounds like a great plan, but many students feel that we will loose the relationships we have created through STaR. Also, it is very common for students to leave their friends to go to a teacher when they need help in a certain class. Please help us by signing this petition to show the importance of social skills in school.
