Pledge Your Commitment to End Rape
We are a group of 5th grade girls who have spent the last three months working on a service-learning project on the subject of rape. We decided we wanted to share why we think there should not be rape, and encourage others to speak up. (And don't forget: April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month!)
Dear Senator Klobuchar, We are very concerned with the numbers of rapes in our neighborhoods, our cities, and our country. We are concerned for the safety of our neighbors, friends, family, and ourselves. In this spirit, we wanted to take the time to pledge our commitment to ending rape. (We each have our own reasons and I hope that you will take the time to read them.) We hope that you will join us in this effort, and use what power you have to help all of us curb this too frequent violent act. Thank you for hearing our concerns. Sincerely, The Andersen Rape Public Achievement Group & Fellow Signers
