Message to Our President About Drug Reform Policy.
As long as you have been in office I would have hoped more from you on New Drug Law Reform. Many Poor people and mostly minorities are still receiving very longer prison sentences for selling crack cocaine rather than selling powder cocaine.I look back in my life from the area I'm from and remember when I was younger many local farmers had a thriving business, now long out of business and out of work from plant jobs they where forced to take or starve their families. The Major Industry seems to be locking citizens away and scarring their reputation and record for life. Some will say they see the economy is slowly getting better on the News?I see it getting worse here.I am still proud to have our First Black President, but I would like for it to mean something more than that.I agree with your health care policies and somewhat your promise you had to make on bringing our troops home,I mean you did shift the War as promised, you shifted it closer to Iran where I believe we will be next.Going back to the economy, drug reform, and what I'm getting at.First the Drug problem with Crack Cocaine started with the C.I.A. and should be stopped in a different way than the way it was intended, making money for the Government to sponsor War.The American People whose lives it destroyed should in part be given it back from You Mr.President,I mean where talking about your own people, and not just people of your color,I'm also talking about people struggling no matter what color to just try to get ahead. What I believe would help this area and many places like where i live would be to legalize marijuana. This country faced issues like this back in prohibition and won,I believe we can control and sell for profit marijuana and bring untold of amount of money shared throughout our Great Country and abroad.I want the American People to get behind this issue and keep it out there until there is a resolution, otherwise this will be swept away like so many other important issues have in the past.
