Ban 1080 poison in New Zealand
This is a petition against 1080 poison which has been banned all over the world except for New Zealand.
It kills thousands of animals each year including deer, goats, native birds, fish, lizards everything that lives in the forest, it kills.
It is used by the Department of Conservation who is suppose to protect and maintain the environment and certain species that live in the forest especially the native birds but they are laying this poison all over the forest floor. The poison in in the form of pellets and usually put in bits of carrot so the animal will eat it.
It is killing our native kiwi too, the New Zealand bird that Department of Conservation is claiming that they are protecting. .
Their arguement is that it only kills certain animals like deer and pigs and goats but we have proof it has killed peoples pet dogs too as well as native birds and lizards. But they shouldnt even be killing any of these defenceless animals and is just utterley cruel.
But dead animals have been found everywhere including fish so it is obviously going into the fresh waterways where campers drink from.
The poison causes extreme pain where the animals goes into convulsions and eventually dies a long and painful death which can take hours or reported days even.
92% of New Zealanders are opposed to this horrible poison but Department of Conservation is not concerned about what the people want and have never been concerned.
They call New Zealand " Clean, green New Zealand" yeah right!!!. Not when they are spreading poison all over New Zealand. I am a New Zealander and are ashamed of been a New Zealander but realise not all New Zealanders think the same..
You know the Nazis used 1080 to kill millions of Jews during the war and the New Zealand government is doing exactly the same thing only killing as many animals as they can.
Are they planning to do the same to us New Zealanders living here!!!!!
Please help and support us to get rid of this toxic poison which is killing our country. Thank You.
