Boeing Pension Denial

My father Charles Watson filed for his pension in April 2008.  It was to commence on May 1, 2008.  After battling lung cancer for four years he died on April 29,2008 at 7:35 in the evening.

Upon his filing he opted for the 10 year guaranteed survivor disbursement. Boeing received his submission on April 19, 2008.
Because, he passed away less than 48 hours prior to May 1st, Boeing has elected to deny his request.  This is after 46 years of service!!!

In addition to the above travesty, Boeing cancelled his life insurance because he was out on approved Medical disability.  My father was totally unaware of this.

The greed of this company is intolerable, leaving no monies to maintain my father's estate.

Please join my family in our protest of Boeing's injustice.

Sincerely,

The Watson Family

We the undersigned implore you to uphold Mr. Charles O. Watson's wishes to have his survivorship pension benefits disbursed to his children.  Charles Watson passed away on April 29, 2008 at 7:30 pm less than 48 hours prior to the commencement of his retirement. After he dedicated 46 years of service to your company, it is deplorable, that you would deny his family his benefits based on the counting down of hours. We are aware that it is legally your right to do so.  However, your decision lacks moral fiber.

Charles was a decorated Korean War veteran who was proud to serve his country.  Through employment with your company, he helped build aircraft that were utilized by our country's armed forces in defense of our great nation.
Mr. Watson dedicated his life to the employ of your company .  We just don't understand how you could count down hours to dishonor his wishes.

As a result of your decision, Charles Watson's estate is in serious financial trouble.  The proceeds of his survivorship benefits were to be utilized not only to maintain physical assets, but also to help take care of his mentally ill child who was cared for by Mr. Watson until his death.

Please act in a morally responsible manner by fufilling Mr. Watson's wishes
