I have been a patient and a nurse, hospital, lab, doctors office. One thing they all have in common is delivering safe and sound medicine in the most cost effectice way. I do not have the patience for these fat Pharmaceutical companies who seem to not have anything better to do that tweak a chemical in some pink pill and make the new pill purple and the market it with billions of your marketing funds on my television with extra loud commercials.
We must create and inforce safe and sane laws regarding just how much money they can make by tweaking a perfectly good medicine into something "new"; the money spent on advertising, both in print and electronic media must be re-routed into safety oversight and working closely with the fda; we need to take away all the control they have on research, as well. It really is a conflict of intrests when you break it down.
