In 2006, the residents of Davie voted in favor of funding a $25,000,000 bond for the purpose of purchasing open space land and for improvements to existing parks. The money has still not all been spent ($13.1 million remains unused) as open space is hard to come by. We are proposing to the Town to earmark approximately $50,000 from each of the 4 districts (total of $200,000) for the construction of a press box, shelter/meeting area and stands upgrades to the stadium field at Bamford/Pine Island Park. Please indicate your approval of this significant upgrade to our recreational park.
Several improvements are needed at our Bamford Park Sports Complex that will bring our facility up to par with the parks in our neighboring cities. We are proposing to the Town to earmark approximately $50,0000 from the Open Space/Park Improvement Bond from each of the 4 districts for the construction of a press box, shelter/meeting area and stands upgrades to the stadium field at Bamford/Pine Island Park. The Town of Davie has funds in place to make an immediate impact at our Bamford Park facility. We need to appeal to our Town Council Representatives and be heard!
