Hold vaccine makers accountable - Repeal the 2006 Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act

The 2006 Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act allows for no accountability to vaccine and drug makers and therefore we ask that the act be repealed.
We the undersigned are concerned about the potential implications of The 2006 Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act which allows the DHHS Secretary the power to grant immunity against vaccines and drug makers in the case of a public health emergency. Tort liabilty, as it is called, prevents manufacturers and distributors against any legal tort claim which can be pursued in either state or federal court; including death and physical, mental, or emotional injury except in the case of willful miscounduct.
We believe that this act, once invoked, provides the manufacturers no incentive to make the safest product for consumers and that puts consumers at risk.
Because of the risk associated with fast-tracking vaccines and adjuvants used we ask that you act to repeal the 2006 Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act.
