Do You Dear People in the Midwest whose lives were turned upside down by the recent tornadoes and flooding expect to receive a portion of the $8,000,000 Bush promised you?
In addition to his despicable behavior after Hurricane Katrina, Bush pledged $8,000,000 in disaster relief to the people whose lives were turned upside down by a number of tornados and floods in the Midwest. As he was leaving the platform in one of those areas, and immediately after he had just pledged $8,000,000 in disaster relief, Bush said, not too quietly to be heard, "$2,000,000 to them and the rest to (mumble, mumble)." He seemed to be talking to someone to his left or even behind him. Others surely heard this, but no one has taken him on. I think that we should, if only through a petition and letters to our representatives who will soon begin impeachment proceedings. (Can you even imagine such arrogance?)
I think I saw and heard this idiocy on CBS, or perhaps ABC, within the last week or so. We would need someone to run this down. I am disabled and not knowledgeable about these things.
