Limit Litters of Animals Born By Breeders

The truth is, we are facing a critical issue of pet overpopulation and overcrowding of animal shelters causing thousands of perfectly healthy, adoptable animals being euthanized simply due to lack of space.  This petition is asking stated represenatives to make laws limiting breeders to one litter a year.  This would decrease the amount of pets born by 50% thus saving them from living their lives in a shelter and never finding homes.  Also, this law would give the animals who are in shelters right now a better chance at finding a home.  We need to take action to stop perfectly healthy animals being born only to live their lives in cages then die.  Your signature will be a step in taking action against a critical issue facing our states.
We the undersigned are asking you to propose a bill and help in making laws that limit licensed breeders to allowing only one litter to be born a year.  Since pet overpopulation and overcrowding is a critical issue we are facing and hundreds of healthy animals are dying because of it, we ask you to take action in ending this crisis.  Thank you for your time in reading this letter and we hope you will take action for the concerned citizens who signed this petition.
