Need for Judicial Reform to eliminate Terrorism

India is among the countries which are worst affected by a problem that is haunting the whole world today - Terrorism. Still, call it international pressure or whatever you may like, but Indian government is always expected to show patience, no matter what cost.

However, the one who has to pay the price of this patience & so-called brotherhood is the common man in India who, while stepping out of his home, has no idea whether he would be able to make it back home. The person who pays the price of this "peace" is the common Indian who knows that if the situation does not change, then some day or the other, he would lose someone whom he dearly loves & if lucky, may be he would get killed while his loved ones are still safe at home.

We believe in "Live & Let Live" where the former is as important as the latter.

Respected Sir,

This is not actually a petition or a request. Infact, this is the voice of the common man from India. This is the voice of many people who loved to spend their free time in the German Bakery in Pune & those who are still dreaded by the Mumbai blasts (26/11 & before), & those who still have a hope in mind that we can change things around. We Indians love our nation, we feel proud when someone excels in sports, business or if someone successful is even slightly related to India. But at the same time, when every now and then the internal security of the country is compromised, it shatters our pride & raises only one question: How can a bunch of terrorists from our neighbouring country(ies), be strong enough to break the very roots of Indian security & not be afraid of the consequences.

But then the real reason comes to mind:

1) 1993 bomb blasts case took 13 years to get the guilty punished in the court of law.

2) Mohammad Masood Azhar (Pakistani), Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar (Indian National), Ahmed Omar Sayed Sheikh (Pakistani) were released at the time of IA Flight 814 hijack. If at all the action would have been taken immediately, the picture would have been a lot different.

3). Delhi serial blasts, Mumbai local train attacks, Bangalore bomb blasts, Ahmedabad serial blasts, Jaipur Serial blasts...the list is endless! And what did the guilty get for what they did - Nothing yet!

4). Over 70,000 Indian civilians have lost their lives to the hands of terrorists (the number excludes security personnels)

5) And now Ajmal Aamir Kasab, the person who was part of 26/11 in Mumbai which killed over 170 people, is enjoying his stay in Indian prison, being one of the safest people in India only because we believe he is a so-called link towards the main organisation.

How can the terrorists be fearful of attacking India if they know that Indian judicial system is going to provide them with all the support they need? The question whether these terrorists are going to be useful in getting more information is pointless because, the way Ajmal Aamir Kasab is mocking India's judicial system, there is no way he is going to give way to more useful things than he already did.

India is facing multifarious challenges in the management of the Internal security against terrorism. Terrorists are taking advantage of the high-tech facilities to strike at will at any part of the country. Hundreds of innocent Indians are being killed. Its time we change the stance towards the terrorists because as it is said, Attack is the best Defense. Its a war and we must defend ourselves. Opinion of the International media is of no significance when it comes to the lives of hundreds of Indians who are getting targetted by the terrorists every single minute. First the Mumbai local trains, then the Parliament, then 26/11 in Mumbai, German Bakery blast in Pune, and the continuing barbaric activities in Kashmir. Lets step into the war that they have waged and give them exactly what stance we have in mind.

We have had enough talks with terrorists & their sponsors. We have been talking for decades now. Talks have never saved Innocent Indians....& they never will. This is not a petition, this is not a request, this is the voice of common man in India.

Jai Hind! Long Live India! Long Live Global Peace!

Sincerely,
