No free cell phones for welfare holders

While I can understand the concept of a" Helping Hand Up",  I resent the  fact that the line stretches miles for the" Hand Out".  Cell phones are a luxury.  Any of us that have them understand this all too well each month when that bill arrives.  I pay mine faithfully but refuse to pay for someone elses luxury.  If you cannot afford to feed your family why should you take that money & pay for phone charges?  I am 54 yrs. old & raised 3 children.  After losing my husband suddenly years ago I was forced to apply for Food Stamps & Medical Assistance for my children.  I hated every minute of this ordeal because I was made to fee as though I was taking money out of the pocket of my case worker.  So I started my own business cleaning residential & construction.  I swore never again would I allow someone making minimum wage to dictate to me what I am allowed to do.  That was 24 yrs. ago.  Everyone needs a hand from time to time but living on Welfare as a career does nothing for our economy.  Please sign this petition so our government stops the madness.
