Proposed Closure of Emily Bissell Hospital

This petition is in response to the proposal by Health Secretary Vince Meconi  of Delaware to close Emily P. Bissell Hospital. This closure will affect the residents and staff of Emily Bissell. This proposal seeks to transfer the staff and residents  (many of whom are elderly and infirm and have called this their home for years), to another state facility in Smyrna, DE.

This proposal has been made in the past and has been rejected. We would like to see this happen again. Please support the residents, staff, and resident families by signing your name to this petition.

Contact your legislature in Delaware and inform them that  passing this proposal would not be in the best interest of our residents and staff, many of whom have voted them into their positions.
