Put End to Media's Wicked Stepmother Stereotype
Movies and TV have created the stereotype of the Wicked Stepmother. Time to end that drama. In the year 2010, more than half of U.S. families will be part of a blended family. The Wicked Stepmother Stereotype needs to end.
Sign the petition to let Media Outlets know you are tired of the false stereotype of the Wicked Stepmother. In today's blended family, stepmom's are working hard to meet the needs of their children and bring together a large family atmosphere, instead of a war-zone.

We are raising awareness about how the film industry has promoted a negative stereotype about stepmothers. This stereotype has impacted our children, our families, and greatly affected the lives of many women.
In the year 2010, more than half of American families will in some way be connected to a blended family. This makes the blended family the new "normal" family, and stepmothers an integral part of the family unit.
Please help us raise awareness by changing the way stepmothers are portrayed in film. Thank you for taking a moment to read about our concern.
