Reduce Pesticides on the IUB Campus

We the community of Indiana University Bloomington demand pesticides only be used on campus when their necessity is proven and documented, and where there is no other best practice available. We believe more public and transparent coordination of the Athletic  Department, Residential Halls, the Department of Facilities, the Physical Plant, and Indiana  Memorial Union is required for a thorough accounting of pesticide use on the IUB campus.  Furthermore, we  request that these entities document that they have someone on staff trained in Integrated Pest Management by  the criteria set out by the Integrated Pest Management Institute of America.  These actions are vital to our public health and a sustainable campus.
