Save The Buzzard 101 FM!

30 years ago, before Corporate America took over the world, there was an amazing radio station called WMMS 101 FM.  There was a DJ named Kid Leo who was the coolest man in the universe.  His voice was like molten gold.

For decades it seemed, every Friday at 5:00pm WMMS would play a three-song lineup to get everybody geared up for the weekend.  There was even a vocal introduction by Cleveland disc jockey Alan Freed, the man who first coined the phrase, "Rock-N-Roll."  The songs were "Born To Run" by Bruce Springsteen, "Cleveland Rocks" by Ian Hunter and "Friday on my Mind" by the Easybeats.

WMMS is now a shadow of its former self.  For the past six months, I have been replying to their non-music related Facebook posts, asking them to please stop being the TMZ of radio and go back to playing the Friday Night Happy Hour line-up.  They never reply.  Now they must pay!

Please sign to voice your support.  Surely I can't be the only Clevelander missing the glory days of Rock-N-Roll, can I?
