Stop Verizon Wireless' Mandatory Data Plan
The purpose of this petition is to convince Verizon Wireless to allow users to either choose a mandatory data plan or a mandatory data block on their new PDA's and Smartphones. Verizon's current decision to remove this choice is not only a bad precedent by what is now the largest wireless provider in the United States, but also very poor customer service.
We the undersigned want you to understand that taking away our ability to choose what features we want is simply bad customer service, especially when this policy can increase people's monthly phone bill by over 50%.
We request that you change your policy to allow people to choose between your mandatory data plan or a mandatory data block. This will still protect your company from data abuse, while allowing those of us who do not use the data plan to avoid charges for services we do not use.
