Support Pakistan Women's Ownership Rights

A proposed bill in the Pakistan Assembly would make depriving women of ownership of their property an offense punishable by up to five years in prison and a hefty fine. Member of Provincial Assembly Noor Sahar, who introduced the bill, said that the right of ownership was at risk for women, whose rights are violated through coercion, fraud, fabrication, forgery, and cheating.

Sign this petition to urge the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to pass the bill to protect the ownership rights of women in Pakistan.

The proposed bill would ensure that if a woman files a suit against someone who has obstructed her right to own property, a court must take swift action on the case and district police must return the possession within one month of the court decision or face charges under the new law.
