Tell the Audubon society to stand up for the environment and say no to oil drilling!
To the director of the National Audubon Society:
We the undersigned wish for you to abandon the idea of opening up any portion of the protected lands in your care to oil drilling/mining.
Thousands of people have made donations to your group with the understanding that you were for protecting the environment.
Now, we are all dismayed to find out that your group is actually willing to consider selling out to the oil industries. If The Audubon Society does go through with it's possible plan, it will leave a black eye on your group's reputation and will also cause funding to plummet due to the fact that a lot of people, myself included will never send any funding to your projects ever again.
Please reconsider the proposal and do the right thing and keep protecting our environment from more degradation by the oil giants. We thank you for your time and consideration in this serious matter, and hope that you will not let us down.
