Urge Florida Lawmakers to pass Domestic Partnerships.

HB 139 and SB 166 (bi-partisan house and senate bills)  both path the way to the first cornerstone of equal rights for same sex couples in Florida.
Opponents say that the 2008 DOMA amendment mandates only the relationship between one man and one woman, but with the 2nd largest gay population (behind California) things are changing.

In February of 2012, the California Supreme Court struck down Prop. 8 (aka Doma) as unconstitutional. In Florida it can be the same way, if we have our voices and opinions heard by our lawmakers. Maybe then, we might be able to pass more than just Domestic Partnerships in Florida and other states.
Please urge your friends and family to sign!
We, the people of the world, wish to express our concern for the House and Senate bills HB 139 and SB 166. We want to urge you, the lawmakers of Florida to pass these Bills. Not only will this increase business in the state (Florida has the 2nd highest gay population after California), many same sex couples will finally be able to get the most basic rights that our heterosexual couples enjoy such as hospital visits, which is the first stepping stone of marriage equality. DOMA infringes on the rights of human beings, even if they are heterosexual. the DOMA act actually limits a large amount of business in the state by barring same sex unions and marriage (which could bring in millions of dollars each year to the state).
Thank you for taking the time to consider making the lives of millions of Floridians a much brighter one.
