Vote on Public Option
Instead of endlessly trying to determine if the public option would pass in the Senate, and using that as the sole criterion for submitting it or not, put it before the Senate for a vote. Let those who oppose or support it go on record, publicly and forever.
We the undersigned, aware that the question of public health care is a milestone decision in the history of this nation, and cognizant that this and subsequent generations have the right to know where their elected representatives ultimately stood on this issue, request that The United States Senate promptly bring the question of the public option to the floor and that, without delay, it members cast their vote, for or against, the creation of a pubic option for health care coverage.
