Shut down this the US Meat Research Center in Nebraska

I was so shocked and disgusted and horrified after reading this article this article in the New York Times regarding the abuse and mistreatment of farm animals for 50 years in a research facility that apparently escapes oversight by the government due to loopholes in US animal welfare legislation that I had to launch a petition. Thousands of animals dying, severe mistreatment and neglect, the callousness of the staff, I think even the Chinese would be shocked. I never want to read again about a Western nation that can treat any animal like this. America, you should be ashamed. Call upon your government to shut down this stain upon humanity.
