Afro Talk supports the enrollement of Alaïa Victorie into an English High School
According to Bill 101 parents need proof of citizenship before enrolling a child into school,however Alaïa Victorie acceptance into Laval Jr.High. was filed in May and only stalled two weeks prior to the commencement of school leaving her mother Torrie Douglas to home school her cutting into her ability to work.
Torrie Douglas has sent her older children through english schools with her Canadian citizenship,however it has recently been stolen and even with filing it stolen to equifax, trans union and the police . Sir Wilfred Laurier school board has denied her daughter access; while Torrie Douglas awaits her citizenship to be processed. Taking a total of 6 months to complete in cases of urgency. and up to a year otherwise. Granting temporary permission for the mother to home school the daughter through HSLDA will allow for her to maintain her English eligibility while the citizenship is being processed.

HSLDA temporarily granting Torrie Douglas permission to home school her 12-year-old daughter while awaiting access to a Sir Wilfred School Board high school.
