Restore City Island Long Standing Murals

History of the Negro Baseball League- The Harrisburg Giants is a hallmark mural the have welcomed visitors to this ballpark and for many years to come. I would like to petition to restore the Mural along with the adjacent, mural, to it. "The island contains archaeological treasures of the Susquehannocks and the Iroquois tribes, who at one time established settlements here. During the initial development of Harrisburg, the island was only able to be reached by boat, until 1817 when the Camelback Bridge, site of the present-day Market Street Bridge, was completed." -From Wikipedia.

At City Island The marker reads: "Harrisburg-based Negro League baseball team founded around 1900 and operated by Colonel William Strothers until his death in 1933. One of 27 major Negro League teams across the nation, the Giants finished in second place in the Eastern Colored League in 1925. Among well-known players were hall-of-famer Oscar Charleston, Spottswood Poles, Ben Taylor, John Beckwith, Fats Jenkins and Rap Dixon. They played here at Island Park through 1957."

Please let's petition to restore these Welcoming Murals Located on City Island Islanders in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
