The undersigned urge the District Attorney and court to move swiftly to prosecute Joelle R. Kott, owner of Pit Stop Puppy's Dog Rescue. Pit Stop Dog Rescue was raided on 01/29/2010. More than 60 dogs were seized. These animals were taken from both her home and kennels on "suspicion of cruelty and neglect." Though Ms. Kott has been charged for endangering her 2 children, and they have been removed from her care, the County of Niagara has not yet brought animal abuse/neglect/cruelty charges against Ms. Kott. We would like assurance these dogs will be represented in court and charges be brought against Ms. Joelle Kott for the serious crimes she has committed. We will be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. We will support the D.A., courts, and citizens of Niagara County when they prosecute Ms. Kott and seek the maximum penalty the law allows. Ms. Kott needs to be punished to the full extent of the law. Animal abusers need to KNOW they will go to jail.
