Increase funding assistance to college students

As a college student who had a hard time finding ways to pay for college I think it's necessary to increase funding for people with similar situations. My family makes "too much money" for me to get any government help, but they aren't helping pay for school. They also were unable to cosign any student loans and other family members refused. If it weren't for the kindness of a family friend I would have no way to get loans for school. People in this situation should be given more options in order to receive an education; money should never be a reason for missing out on anything, especially not an education; more funding needs to be issued to students trying to attend Universities.
