Demand Senior Homes Inspections and Accountability for Wrongdoing

Too many nursing homes in Canada are privately owned for profit. The actual care , health and safety for our elderly, frail, sick and defenseless seniors becomes a secondary consideration to the profit motive. There is not enough government funding and too few or non- existent inspections of our nursing homes. The recent coldblooded and heartless Ontario Conservative government's cuts of those few inspections only made the covid-19 outbreaks and deaths of our seniors even worse. The end result ? These so-called " nursing homes " are full of documented horror stories of neglect, abuse, assault and the untimely death of our seniors. Is any of this acceptable in a country as wealthy and " advanced " as Canada ? Apparently it is acceptable to the cut, slash and burn Conservative Party of Ontario.
