This petition is to request the State of North Carolina to take over the maintenance of the remaining portion of 1908 5th St.  Currently, the major portion of 5th St in Statesville, NC is maintained by the state.  The homeowners of the remaining 100 feet which includes 6 homes is requesting the state also maintain this portion of the street.  With this inclusion, North Carolina would be reponsible for the maintenance of the entire section of this road.
