The release of the free speech detainee Ahmed Al-Kinani, Jordan

Mr. Ahmed Al-Kanani wrote on his Facebook page a call for peaceful protest in Irbid and demanding the release of members of the Teachers Syndicate during the past year. Al-Kinani has been detained since August last year, on charges of inciting acts that cause discord and disturb public order. The case of the young man and activist Al-Kinani was transferred to the State Security Court. As it is possible that the young man will be subjected to harsh sentence under these "political" charges for several years.
