Oppose Honolulu County Property Tax Increase

The Mayor has proposed property taxes increase of 8-14 percent which, on average is approximately $324 per homeowner. The increase is part of his proposed fund the Rail program. The requested percent property tax increase is the biggest increase in over eight years and it exceeds the maximum rate allowed under the county's Charter and therefore requires unanimous approval by the City and County Council.
I ask that you stand with other residents of City and county of Honolulu in opposing this increase. Please sign this petition to let the Honolulu City Council know of your strong opposition to this increase, which will negatively impact residents of City and county of Honolulu.
