As American’s, we should ALL be appalled that Congress is holding us hostages over almost every issue that matters to the American people. Jobs, increase minimum wages, taxes, the deficit, education, Social Security, Medicare, women's issues, the environment, including stealing our privacy all of which we have a say in when it comes to our constitutional rights and we want our voices to be heard. I don't like being a hostage. I say that we amend the U.S. Constitution and deny Congress their lifetime salaries, cost of living wage increases, and their health insurance benefits.

“…Rachel Maddow reminded viewers that members of perhaps the least productive Congress ever will treat themselves to a staggering 239 days off in 2013 — with just 126 reserved for, you know, working. (The 2011-2012 U.S. Congress have passed 196 bills so far, on pace to be the lowest number ever.) In three months — January, November, and December — Congress will be in session just eight days. Not approving.”
