Pete Hegseth has been a disaster as Defense Secretary, and there is bipartisan agreement that he needs to go.
In fact, it was a Republican, Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky who introduced articles of impeachment against Hegseth.
But Speaker Mike Johnson is refusing to allow a vote on them. Even though a majority of — the House likely an overwhelming majority -- wants Hegseth gone NOW.
Johnson even sent House members home early, because he believed they'd already cobbled together a majority to force a vote.
Hegseth has no idea what he's doing, and seems to think if he just yells louder, his enemies will run right over the edge of the flat Earth.
Hegseth was the guy who sent out secret battle plans via a public chat app. Who let thousands of our troops run low on food and water, because he didn't plan.
Oh, and he let us RUN OUT OF CRITICAL WEAPONS. Which is kind if a big ****ing deal when you're in war.
Every day he is secretary of defense is a day that our troops are in greater danger than necessary. He needs to go, and if Trump won;'t do it, Congress myst. And Johnson needs to get the hell out of their way.
