Stop Horse Tripping in Nevada

Rodeos in Nevada force horses to run at top speed, then trip them with lassos and send them crashing to the ground. Horses suffer broken limbs and even broken backs, but as long as they can move, they are forced to get up and do it again, and again.
When the rodeo is over most are sent to slaughter.
Nevada's legislature is considering banning horse tripping, but the Senate must pass it by April 23rd. Please sign our open letter to the Las Vegas Sun editor urging lawmakers to vote for the ban.

To the editor:
Horse tripping is a cruel and dangerous rodeo activity. Cowboys make a horse run at full tilt, then lasso its legs so it crashes to the ground, sometimes suffering major injuries. But as long as the horse can move, it is forced to run and be tripped over and over again. When the rodeo is over or a horse is too injured to run, the horse is slaughtered.
Nevada's state legislature is considering a bill that would ban horse tripping in the state. The Senate has until April 23rd to pass the bill.
Senators, please do the right thing and protect horses from this barbaric practice.
