We, the people of the United States of America, wish to enact term limits on our representatives in the US Congress. It was Thomas Jefferson who first enacted term limits and said it was, "to prevent every danger which might arise to American freedom by continuing too long in office the members of the Continental Congress...no person shall be capable of being a delegate [to the continental congress] for more than three years in any term of six years..". We believe that our voices are no longer heard by our representatives as they have made a monarchy of the US government, and are ruled by lobbyists.
We the undersigned, wish to enact Congressional term limits to 2 consecutive terms of 4 years. The current unlimited terms, no longer serves the best intrest of the pulic which Congress is meant to represent. We feel that our voices are no longer heard over those of the lobyists and big business.
