Due to the recent events that have transpired in Delaware beginning on October 1, 2021, as members of the Libertarian Party of Delaware (LPD) and the National Libertarian Party, we have formed this petition calling for the LNC to take direct and swift action to protect our rights as a State Affiliate and, even more importantly, as National Members. As a result of several people attempting to co-opt the party, our rights and voices as a National Members have been cast aside through wildly unprincipled actions. We have grave reservations as to how we can continue to remain members of the Libertarian Party if it cannot stand up against these egregious actions and follow its motto "the party of principle".
We the Libertarians of Delaware, having been registered as Libertarian with the State of Delaware Department of Elections and registered with the National LP are asking the Libertarian National Committee to recognize that Bill Hinds is the rightful Chair of the Libertarian Party of Delaware, Amy LePore is the rightful Vice-Chair of the Libertarian Party of Delaware, Dave Casey as one of the two duly elected New Castle County Representatives on the State Board of Libertarian Party of Delaware, and Dylan Griffith as the second New Castle County Representative on the State. These board members were duly elected to those positions by the delegates present at the State Convention in June 2021 and we request that you recognize them accordingly.
