New Hampshire, Don't Repeal Marriage Equality!

New Hampshire is now considering whether to repeal marriage equality. It has only been in place for two years, but now they want to repeal it in March 2013 and replace it with civil unions like in 2008 and 2009. All future same-sex couples would no longer be able to get married -- they would have to enter into civil unions, or have nothing at all.

The bill is sponsored by Rep. David Bates, who believes that the real definition of marriage is between one man and one woman.

The LGBT community and its allies have fought so hard for equality. Civil unions for gay couples and marriage for straight couples is not equality, and it is not just for the government to treat one group of people differently from another. Everyone deserves the right to marry, no matter what their sexual orientation is.

Please tell the New Hampshire government to stop legislating love. Stand up for the LGBT community and true equality, and tell them not to repeal the gay marriage law!

Everyone has the right to marry, no matter if it's with a same sex partner or an opposite sex partner. It's not fair to allow straight individuals the option to marry, and bar LGBT folks from the same thing.

Please do not turn back the clock, walking all over progress, and repeal the gay marriage law in New Hampshire.
