There are a million reasons why Kash Patel shouldn't be FBI Director.
But while he's got the job, he sure as hell shouldn't be doing it while he's drunk, AWOL for days, or showing up randomly and power guzzling beers in hockey locker rooms.
Tell Patel to give up alcohol completely.
This isn't just any old job, it's one charged with leading the fight against all sorts of crimes, preventing terrorist attacks, etc. And things can happen suddenly (as we just saw) up that require immediate action and a clear mind.
This isn't the kind of job where you can promise to "only get kinda buzzed" or "limit myself to just 6 or 7 drinks." Particularly not when there are multiple reports of a history of drinking way too much, and doing really stupid things.
It's a small sacrifice, and he should do it immediately. And if he can't, that speaks volumes itself.
