Tell People Magazine: Apologize for anti-autism remarks!!!

On the magazine's July 1st issue, the "Heroes Among Us" section had a heading article entitled "Crusading Against Autism", featuring Autism Speaks founders Bob and Suzanne Wright. We the autistic, verbal and non-verbal, black and white, gay and straight, male and female, are not amused. Autism is an integral part of who we are, and to claim to crusade against autism is virtually crusading against autistics, the same way fighting homosexuality is fighting gays, or fighting interracial societies is fighting blacks, asians, native americans, ect.. We the autistic call on People Magazine to apologize for their offensive anti-autistic article. Speak up for those that have been silenced by this atrocious piece, for lack of a better word!
