Demand Trump Officials Condemn White Nationalist Hate Groups.

Why is so hard for these clowns to just says "Nazis suck"?

On July 4, hundreds of masked white nationalists marched through Washington, D.C., carrying Confederate flags and chanting "Reclaim America."

This was not patriotism. It was white supremacist intimidation in the capital of the United States.

But instead of forcefully condemning it when questioned, Trump's Interior Secretary Doug Burgum quickly pivoted to a word salad about why the founding fathers were awesome, and how we celebrate them and some stuff like that, and brushed it off quickly as part of "messy democracy."

Really?

Yes, the First Amendment protects speech, even hateful speech. But our leaders are not required to excuse it, minimize it, or pretend masked white supremacists marching through Washington is just normal politics.

Donald Trump and his administration should condemn white supremacy and white nationalist intimidation clearly and forcefully.

White supremacy is not patriotism. Confederate flags are not symbols of American unity. And America's birthday should never be a recruiting video for hate groups. And our leaders should be able to say that.

Tell Trump and his administration: "Condemn White Nationalist Hate Groups."
