The only book store in the Bronx is being closed at the end of 2016! This Barnes and nobles is super important to our community. Some people don't have cars or can't afford to travel into Manhattan every day to the over crowded Barnes and nobles. They want to replace it with a store that has not been announced yet. As a teenager I can speak for the younger people of our community and say that we enjoy getting a cup of coffee from the Starbucks and reading a book, in the air conditioned, free wifi, and comfortable chairs of the book store. The Bronx is neglected enough! It's time to draw a line! Reading is very important! And libraries are often over crowded and noisy after school! So please take a minute to sign my petition to keep Barnes and nobles open in the Bronx so people can continue to enjoy Reading in a safe and relaxing environment!

Bad news...so today on the news they announced that a SAX clothing store will take the place of our book store, and that they already signed a 10 YEAR LEASE. there is really not much we can do at this point. i want to thank everyone who tried, it will be missed. The only thing we can do is to not shop there in hopes of it going out of business.

In only one day we have over 100 supporters! We are rising up! I am so proud of everyone banding together to try and save our book store and cafe.
