Any one with even a limited football knowledge base knows who Paul "Bear" Bryant" is. The man with the most national championships in college football history (six). But do you know who Denny is? That's because, according to Wikipedia, " in 1929, it was originally named Denny Stadium in honor of George H. Denny, the school's president from 1912 to 1932. In 1975, the state legislature added longtime head coach and alumnus Paul "Bear" Bryant to the stadium's name.
Nick Saban has restored this illustrious institution to it's glory days. It's about time the name of the stadium reflects the two power coaches that have made Alabama football iconic.
Lets demand the Alabama legislature change the name of the stadium to Bryant-Saban stadium.
