Demand an End to Dog Discrimination in Ontario

It is unfair to discriminate against a certain breed, or breed type. Pitbull type dogs, as well as pitbulls, should be allowed back. They are loving, caring, beautiful animals that have a bad reputation simply because people associate the breed with dog fighting, attacks on people, when in reality it's usually not a pitbull or pitbull type that is the perpetrator of said attacks.

Nine times out of ten it's because of poor socialization, training, and caring of this breed that leads to the bad behavior associated with this breed, and breed types. It should be mandatory for all owners of pitbulls/types to go to not only basic obedience classes, but advanced ones. For proper handling and socialization of these types of dogs.

With proper care, love and training these animals are fantastic pets that would give their life for you without a second thought.

Remember, a dog is only as smart as its owner. In the end, the blame should fall on the shoulders of the owners, instead of the dogs. An owner is supposed to teach a dog right from wrong. A chiauaua is more likely to bite than a large dog. However, because there's no stigma associated with small breeds of dog, they are not band. We, as people need to realize that these dogs do not deserve the stigma associated with them. I would trust my kid with a pitbull before I would any breed of small dog.

All dogs deserve a loving home and a chance. Isn't it innocent until proven guilty? We ask Justin Trudeau to reverse the pitbull Ban and give these loving dogs a fair chance.. in the right hands.
