Fight to Keep T.O.P.S

Governor Edwards wants to cut the T.O.P.S scholarship program due to budget reasons in the state of Louisiana.

What this means is that many young adults with a dream of going to college will not be able to carry that out. The program is earned by keeping good grades throughout high school. A countless number of students, including myself, have worked extremely hard to earn the scholarship. Another fact about T.O.P.S is that when a student earns it, they must maintain a certain grade point average through out their college years.

Not under any circumstances is T.O.P.S a handout.

By signing this petition, you will be telling Governor Edwards that T.O.P.S is vital to the state of Louisiana. It is something that students work very hard to earn and we will not stand to have it taken away from us.
