The use of animals in entertainment is cruel and unnecessary and huge strides toward eradicating the use of exotic animals in entertainment are happening all across the globe.
Boise is no different, with each passing year the once long lines that lead to the circus have shortened as families are learning, becoming outraged and then saddened about the lifetime of misery that these captive animals must endure to provide a few hours of entertainment.
The local organizations that use these events as fundraisers are seeing a huge decline in revenue and as the lines get shorter they are forced to give away tickets to fill the empty seats. Animal performances are antiquated and belong in the past. By becoming animal free they will not just stop the abuse of wild animals but will become family friendly places that will make a profit.
By signing this petition we are asking the council to consider passing an ordinance banning exotic animals within the city limits. Boise is a wonderful city with kind compassionate citizens, may it join with the many cities across the country and around the globe and no longer condone this cruelty
