PETITION AND DEMAND THAT ILLINOIS ELIMINATE CUTS TO LONG-TERM CARE MEDICAID FUNDING

The undersigned is president of the Residents' Committee for St. Anthony of Lansing, a Supportive Living Community in the state of Illinois.  Under the cuts to Medicaid  recently proposed by Governor Rauner, many of our residents would have to leave. Those who have nowhere to go might find themselves homeless and some Supportive Living communities across the state will face closure. WE CAN'T AFFORD TO BE SILENT!!! Some of our residents and some of our residents loved ones, fought in military service, risking their lives for our future. After helping to defeat the enemies that threatened us with bombs and weapons, our own government is doing to us what our enemies could not. WE MUST WIN THIS BATTLE!!
