The new administration is talking about vouchers and tax credit to replace Medicare and Social Security. This will not work with seniors who have no other source of income. We are not even required to file taxes! So how would tax credits help us? As far as vouchers how would our medicare supplement insurance work? Just leave Medicare and Social Security alone! Work on getting us decent raises that don't just cover the rising cost or Part B. After years of not getting a raise at all my total raise for 2017 increased my income to 90 cents per month, maybe enough to buy a candy bar! Not enough to buy a roll of toilet paper!
We seniors need help, cost of food, medical insurance housing, gas prices, presciptions, clothes, utilities, glasses, dentures dental care, medical expenses and everything you need to purchase, is extremely expensive. Try living on a fixed income and juggle all these expenses. I personally have a choice to buy food or medicine, I know I am not alone in this quandry.
