Demand the Mauna Kea Telescope be Built Now!

The protesters on Mauna Kea are a small group of Hawaiians who do not know their own history. Their ancestors lived on Mauna Kea, grew their crops there and used its forests for food and other aspects of daily living. They also used the mountain to study the sky to determine the best times to plant their crops and fish the waters below. The majority of Hawaiians want the telescope to be built as this will bring much needed jobs to the island and improve our state's reputation. All environmental studies have been completed and 10 years have been spent to make sure every aspect of the telescope has been done correctly and within the law. The protesters are breaking the law by blocking a state road and they have absolutely no right to do this. Please support this much needed telescope and demand that it be built in Hawaii now. Mahalo.
