Petition for mandatory voting in canada

canada is not a democracy. let's face it. sure anyone has the right to go and cast a ballot whenever an election comes around but what difference does that actually make? when you look at our voting habits one can see a clear trend. the poor don't vote. the fact that this is true is makes canada much more of an oligarchy than it is a democracy. the only foreseeable solution is also unfortunately drastic. the solution simply put is mandatory voting. the conseqeunces of not implimenting this law are severe to say the least. some might say it is a restriction on their democratic rights but they aren't even using those rights, right now. the fact is we have to ask ourselves. do we want a rich mans world like the US of A or do we want a pseudoFrance like state where the government actually listens to the people and not vica versa. sign this petition to make your voice heard. do the right thing and sign this petition which i will be sending to the government of canada. it's time democracy wakes up and roars!
